Disclaimer/Licensing Terms

These terms govern the purchase and use of any recipe ("Recipe") sold through Crew To You Inc. By purchasing a Recipe, you ("Licensee") agree to the following terms.

1. Grant of License

Crew To You Inc. ("Licensor") grants Licensee a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the purchased Recipe to prepare and sell finished baked goods produced from it within Licensee's own business.

This license does not transfer ownership of the Recipe. Crew To You Inc. retains full ownership of all intellectual property rights in the Recipe, including its formulation, written instructions, ratios, techniques, and any accompanying documentation.

Because this license is non-exclusive, other businesses may also purchase and use the same or a similar Recipe. Crew To You Inc. does not guarantee exclusivity of any Recipe within Licensee's market, region, or customer base.

2. Permitted Use

Licensee may:

  • Use the Recipe to produce baked goods for sale to Licensee's own customers, through Licensee's own business

  • Adjust the Recipe for practical kitchen needs (e.g., batch scaling, minor ingredient substitutions due to availability), provided the adjusted Recipe remains subject to these same terms

3. Prohibited Use

Licensee may not, under any circumstances:

  • Resell, sublicense, share, publish, or distribute the Recipe or any portion of it, in original or modified form, in any medium (written, video, verbal, or otherwise)

  • Use the Recipe as the basis for paid or free classes, workshops, courses, coaching, or other educational content

  • Represent the Recipe as Licensee's own original creation or attribute it to any source other than Crew To You Inc.

  • Transfer this license to another business, individual, or entity, including in the event of a sale or transfer of Licensee's business, without prior written consent from Crew To You Inc.

4. Brand & Product References

Where a Recipe references specific brands or products as gluten-free, that reference reflects the formulation of those products at the time the Recipe was created or last updated. Manufacturers can change ingredients, formulations, and manufacturing processes at any time without notice, which may affect a product's gluten-free status.

Licensee is responsible for independently verifying the current gluten-free status of any referenced brand or product — including checking current packaging, labeling, and manufacturer certifications — before use, and each time thereafter. Crew To You Inc. is not liable for changes made by third-party manufacturers to their products or ingredients.

5. Ingredient Sourcing & Allergen Responsibility

Licensee is solely responsible for:

  • Sourcing certified gluten-free ingredients and verifying certifications

  • Establishing and maintaining cross-contact/contamination protocols, dedicated equipment, and staff training appropriate to Licensee's kitchen and local health code requirements

  • Any labeling, disclosures, or allergen claims made to Licensee's own customers

Crew To You Inc. provides the Recipe as a formulation only. Crew To You Inc. makes no guarantee regarding a specific gluten-free certification status (e.g., "gluten-free," "certified gluten-free," or "celiac-safe") unless explicitly stated in writing for that Recipe. Crew To You Inc. is not liable for allergic reactions, cross-contact/contamination, mislabeling, or health code violations arising from Licensee's sourcing, kitchen practices, or execution of the Recipe.

6. No Performance Guarantee

Crew To You Inc. makes no representation or guarantee regarding the sales performance, customer reception, or market uniqueness of any product made from a purchased Recipe.

7. Termination

Crew To You Inc. reserves the right to terminate this license immediately, without refund, if Licensee violates any term of this agreement. Upon termination, Licensee must cease all use of the Recipe and destroy or delete all copies in their possession.

8. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of South Carolina, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any disputes arising under this agreement shall be resolved in the state or federal courts located in South Carolina.

9. Changes to These Terms

Crew To You Inc. may update these licensing terms from time to time. The terms in effect at the time of purchase apply to that purchase.
